The Secure Router 8008 is a mid-range member of Nortel's new Secure Router 8000 family of modular, high-performance enterprise routing platforms. The Secure Router 8008 provides eight slots which can can support a range of WAN/LAN interfaces, including OC-3/STM-1, PoS, GigE, E3 and T1/E1.

With advanced features, such as IPv4/IPv6, MPLS VPN, BGP-4 and multicast, the Secure Router 8008 is well-equipped to address key enterprise high-end and core routing needs.
